The Fish Trap measures approximately 4ft long x 2ft wide x 4ft high (when fully extended) and is constructed from 14mm steel for the base bar, whilst the middle and top sections are made from aluminium. This frame is then covered in nylon netting and the base is covered with 5mm braided net for additional protection. The trap comes complete with baitbag and 2 large eyes. There are 2 zips on the side for emptying the catch.
The Fish Trap was added to the Medley Pots range during 2007 and after a number of trials (mostly in Scandinavia) has been found to be extremely successful. This trap has shown a versatility for catching not only whitefish, but also cuttlefish, lobster and langoustine. In fact, during trials run by Fishing News reporter Phil Lockley, comparisons were made between Medley Pots’ Fish Trap and the LeDrezen Fish Trap. Extracts from this article can be viewed below:
