Medley Pots has been established since 1968 and is thought to be the oldest specialist manufacturer of creel in the UK. We are a family run business, with founder Alan Medley
starting out from a small fishing boat in Whitby.
A few wooden lobster pots made for friends soon grew into a few steel pots, which in turn grew into a lot of steel pots. From these humble beginnings Medley Pots now delivers more than 70,000 frames and fully rigged creels every year to customers as far and wide as Lands End to Norway, Aberystwyth to Cherbourg.
From a farm building on the outskirts of Leeds to the current 7 acre factory and warehouse facility in Goole, Medley Pots is still very much a family concern, headed up by Alan’s brother Robert. The commitment to quality and pride is the same now as it was with those first pots made for a few friends 40 years ago.
